Damian Marley, Bob’s youngest son, was reggae royalty from the time he was born. But no one of any family has recorded a song quite like “Welcome to Jamrock”, an earthquake epic of offbeat guitar, crisp percussion and dubby, disorienting reverb. Marley attacks the 2005 track with righteous fury that updates his father’s message for the age of Ice Cube, in the process creating a global sound wholly his own.
